July, Week 2 | Version Updates
Hello and apologies,
In my troubles with getting week 1's post out, I had actually forgotten to post the week 2's next steps. To cover for this, I will be posting week 3's next steps in the same post as this.
This week marked the start of single-player mode's development. In addition to this, new graphics and a cutscene placeholder was made.

I also now have a better menu with options and a mode select
At the moment, the volume setting doesn't actually do anything and I may need to rework the way I've done music.
Onto cutscene, here are some of the placeholder that hold high significance
Of course this scene will be updated soon.
Additionally, there is the main point of this single-player mode; Who are you fighting without a second player? Well, as hinted by the cutscene shown above, the second player grows to extreme sizes and engulfs the land. This turns them into a creature similar to that of Níðhöggr (Nidhoggr). Nidhoggr is a dragon who gnaws at a root of the world tree, Yggdrasil. In this case, Luku being turning into this creature makes his immediate goal morph into that of consuming all realms that are tied to Slyggdrasil as well as anything currently resting in the tree. In-game, the enemy appears as a large slime wall that climbs up each level and gets faster the higher up it gets. There's a placeholder sprite for this too.
When the player is captured by this morphed Luku, they will see this new loss screen
Onto my next steps; Week 3 will be used as development time in regards to bug fixes. There is one outstanding issue that I have tried to fix a multitude of times but still can't get the hang of; Audio. This will likely take up the entire week as the only audio I currently have is the soundtrack but I can't figure out to get it to work as intended.
